St. Mary's Advocacy for JusticeSt. Mary's Advocacy and Support
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the magnitude of issues in the contemporary world such as gun violence, human trafficking, immigration, poverty, education and peace-building, there is an easy way to start getting involved. The following Episcopal Church agencies work to combat these affronts to our God-given human dignity:
Episcopal Public Policy Network
How many times have you read an article in the paper or watched a news story and wished there was something you could do? With the Episcopal Public Policy Network, you can. Senators and Representatives care about what you, their constituent, think about a particular issue. Whether you feel passionately about environmental protection, HIV/AIDS funding, or education, you can make your voice heard on Capitol Hill.
Episcopal Peace Fellowship
The Episcopal Peace Fellowship (EPF) is a national organization connecting all who seek a deliberate response to injustice and violence and want to pray, study and take action for justice and peace in our communities, our church and the world. We are called to do justice, dismantle violence and strive to be peacemakers.
Episcopal Relief and Development
Episcopal Relief & Development is an international relief and development agency offering a compassionate response to human suffering on behalf of The Episcopal Church of the United States. Our work to heal a hurting world is guided by the principles of compassion, dignity and generosity. We take our mandate from the words of Jesus, found in Matthew 25: 37-40, that call us to feed the hungry, care for the sick and welcome the stranger.
Episcopal Community Services
Episcopal Community Services empowers vulnerable individuals and families by providing high‐quality social and educational services that affirm human dignity and promote social justice.
St. James School Philadelphia
St. James School is a faith-based Philadelphia middle school in the Episcopal tradition, committed to educating traditionally under-sourced students in a nurturing environment. St. James provides a challenging academic program and encourages the moral, spiritual, intellectual, physical and creative gifts in its students.
Lower Merion United
Lower Merion United is a non-partisan group that engages Lower Merion Township residents and other friends in legislative advocacy and political action to end gun violence.
