Created as an outreach mission of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in 2009, Ardmore Food Pantry is a full choice, in-person food pantry serving more than 180 households each week. Ardmore Food Pantry addresses food insecurity by providing fresh, healthy choices for our community in a welcoming environment.

We believe everyone deserves access to food and to be treated with dignity.

At the Ardmore Food Pantry, we live guest-first values:

Promote food as a human right
Foster partnerships to maximize results
Lead with empathy and kindness
Prioritize impact over intention
Cultivate a community of inclusion
Use resources responsibly

Gift Card
Collection

Want to make a difference this season? The Ardmore Food Pantry is collecting $25 gift cards to help local families enjoy a warm, full holiday. We’re collecting multiple gift cards in the amount of $25 (not larger amounts) from Trader Joe’s, Acme, or Giant. Every card makes a big impact—and together, we can spread a little extra kindness this season!

Gift cards can be dropped off:
  • At the Ardmore Food Pantry during pantry hours: Monday 10:30 AM–12 PM and 5:30 PM–7 PM
  • At St. Mary’s Rectory Office: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–1:30 PM
  • Anytime in the St. Mary’s package locker, located to the right of the office door

Your gift can help ensure families have what they need this holiday season. Thank you for your support!

Volunteer

How can I become a volunteer?
All volunteers must attend orientation prior to serving on Mondays.
Tell me more about the volunteer orientation!
  • Orientations are scheduled for the last Wednesday of the month.
  • Orientations take place on Zoom and begin at 6:00pm. The presentation lasts approximately 20 minutes, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.  You will receive a link to the Zoom meeting on the Monday prior to your orientation.
  • Click here to signup to attend orientation.
Are there physical requirements to volunteer?
The ability to stand for 1-2 hours and to lift a full grocery bag will be helpful for many of our volunteer roles; please let us know if you have physical limitations and/or need accomodations prior to volunteering.
Are there age requirements for volunteers?
We love when our high school community members join us to volunteer!  Kindly note the following age requirements:  14 and 15 year olds, must volunteer with an adult.  16, 17, and 18 year olds may volunteer independently.  All high school students may volunteer once they have completed their orientation.
What kind of work do volunteer shifts involve?
Volunteer shifts typically require standing and some lifting, so please be prepared for physical activity.

Are there other ways to help if I can’t volunteer during shift times?
Yes! If you’re unable to attend regular volunteer shifts, you can still make a big difference by:
  • Host a Food Drive.  Gather items at your business, school, house of worship, gym or camp!  We can help with fliers and logistics.
  • Make and serve dinner on Monday evenings. This is a great option for groups! Join together to make and serve hot dinner for 50 people on Monday evenings.  Send an email to [email protected] to reserve your spot.
Whom can I contact for more information?
If you have further questions or need assistance signing up, please contact our volunteer coordinator at [email protected].
