Come As You Are:
Worship at St. Mary’s Church

Worship is at the heart of life at St. Mary’s Church in Ardmore. Grounded in the rich traditions of the Episcopal Church and the rhythms of the liturgical year, our services offer a space for reflection, celebration, and connection with God and one another. Whether you’re a lifelong Episcopalian or exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here. We gather each week to share in scripture, prayer, music, and the Holy Eucharist—strengthened by grace and sent out to serve. Come as you are, and experience worship that is both ancient and ever new.

Music is an essential component of worship at St. Mary's. Our music ministry strives to enrich the worship experience for all people, helping them draw closer to God and the St. Mary's community. The choir is a joyful, talented group of singers committed to presenting a diverse selection of quality music throughout the church year. Music at the Sunday services embraces the best of the Anglican choral tradition, covering all periods of classical music from Renaissance through 20th century, as well as gospel, spirituals and contemporary pieces.  The choir rehearses every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and participates in the 10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist.

New choir members are always welcome. If you love to sing, we encourage you to join us!

Learn More About the Choir
St. Mary's has many opportunities for you to be involved in during Sunday Worship. To learn more please email [email protected].

  • Altar Guild: The Altar Guild prepares the church for worship, ensuring that our physical space is a beautiful environment in which to encounter God’s presence.
  • Greeters and Ushers: Greeters welcome visitors and members at the doors of our church. Greeters serve with a warm smile and an invitation to join the inclusive embrace that defines the community of St. Mary's.  Ushers distribute worship bulletins, collecting the offering, guide worshipers to the altar for Communion, and ensure that the worship service flows smoothly.
  • Eucharistic Ministers: Eucharistic ministers offer the consecrated elements at Holy Communion, as people come forward to receive the bread and wine - Christ’s body and blood.
  • Healing Prayer: After receiving Communion, healing prayer is available in the Chapel.  You can share a confidential prayer request, and two healing prayer ministers will then offer the laying on of hands while praying aloud for the concerns you’ve expressed.
  • Hospitality: We are a community that recognizes and celebrates the truth that when we gather around food, we are offering each other hospitality in the name of Christ. At St. Mary's, hospitality is all-inclusive -- not a la carte -- and reservations are not required.  Every Sunday after worship, we enjoy a festive coffee hour, which provides an opportunity for us to enjoy refreshments, conversation, and one another’s company.
